The surgery in my hand is less than an hour, and that is fairly typical in the US.

They may do several sessions of physical therapy, receive medications for pain and to reduce the risk of blood clots while in the hospital.  They are usually independent in transferring from bed to chair, walking with aids, and doing exercises at that time.

You should call YR D: You must inform your surgeon who performed your Hip joint surgery. This needs medical examination. it could lead to serious infection if not attended in a timely fashion.
