Rotator cuff: At 4 months, your cuff repair is about as solid as it will be. Granted, you can continue with strengthening for a few more months. Riding a roller coaster is fine, just hold on for the ride.

Not too bad!!!: Although all surgeries can involve some initial pain and discomfort, rotator cuff repair surgery can be done very safely these days and with minimal risk. Although some tears can be challenging to repair, recovery time and therapy that goes along with it are generally well tolerated. An experienced surgeon with high skill with arthroscopic techniques can usually achieve excellent clinical results.

Rotator Cuff Surgery: This varies from doctor to doctor and also depends on the severity of the tear.  It is generally accepted that initially you should avoid any active range of motion of the shoulder, while often passive range is allowed much sooner.  After appropriate rest, pt will gradually help you regain range of motion, and then later strengthening exercises will be added.  Expect 3-6 months for recovery.

Arthroscopic repair: The rotator cuff is a group of four tendons that coalesce together to form a cuff.  Usually the supraspinatus tendon is the one that's torn.  It's repaired to the bone where it belongs to an area called the greater tuberosity, with suture anchors. The surgery he's usually done arthroscopically. Depending on the size of the tear it can take about an hour to 1 1/2 hours to perform surgery.

You need assistant: You can not use that arm for 3 weeks, beside the pain you are going to have from the surgery, so if it is your right arm you can not use it for three weeks almost for any thing.
