Implantation: Happens when embryos are between 6-7 days old. So if you have a d3 transfer, implantation is 3-4 days later; if you have a d5, implant is 1-2 days later. Always.

IVF implantation: After transfer of the embryo implantation occurs about 6-10 days later. There will always be some degree of human variation and the exact timing of implantation can not be predicted ahead of time. There is a physiologic window for implantation to occur by the nature of our physiology. Exactly how long that window is in any one individual during any one cycle is not known.

Unlikely: Its more likely that your hormonal levels are altered from the cycle and may cause this.

On the other hand, other possibilities include:

1. Undetected polyps
2. Rebound ovulation (earlier then usual)
3. Cervical trauma from the embryo transfer.

No: Constipation, which is an intestinal bowel problem, has no bad impact on IVF. Good news!

Ask your IVF doc!: I am pretty sure there is no scientific data to answer your question conclusively - so ask your ivf center about this. I would not expect any effect on implantation likelihood if i were you, though. Make sure you are taking Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily, avoid stress/smoking/alcohol, maintain a positive attitude and good luck!

No: This technique, which adds cumulus cells from inside ovarian follicles to the ivf mixture, has not been shown to improve ivf success whatsoever. As ivf centers strive to improve pregnancy rates, if this was shown to help, this simple technique would be widely employed (but it's not). IVF cycles: Implantation of a fertilized egg can cause some cramping and "spotting", but normal causes of diarrhea and intestinal cramping will in general not directly affect implantation.  There are causes of severe diarrhea and cramping which may need treatment, however, and prolonged exposure to this may later affect a pregnancy. See your doctor if this persists.

Stay positive, calm: Stress can have deleterious effects, however, not likely to cause miscarriage

Negative preg. test: Embryos that implant ('take' in the lining of the uterus) make detectable levels of HCG hormone, so embryos that implant and then fail later cause a 'biochemical pregnancy' or miscarriage. Embryo transfer with negative blood HCG means embryos didn't implant. Possible causes: genetic or metabolic problems in the embryos, polyps or other problems with uterine lining, or issues with embryo transfer.

Yes: The medications your fertility specialist gave you will help improve your chances of successful pregnancy.  Try not to add any other factors that might muddy the waters and impede your doctor's process in helping you.
