Airway obstruction: Wheezing is the musical sound created when air is rushing through a narrowed airway.  When wheezing occurs on expiration, this is a very common symptom of asthma or copd.  This may be accompanied by cough, shortness of breath or chest tightness if it is asthma. Less common causes of wheezing that are serious are heart failure, foreign body or tumors in the airway.

Sinus drip?: Good evening, sanderaika
sudden cough with a wheezing is likely due to a sinus drip triggering a reactivity of the airway. When anything, including the discharge from the sinuses enters the airway, the tubes try to shrink in order to keep the secretions from entering, which cause wheezing, and a sudden cough expels the drip that already found its way in. Taking care of the sinus drip will be good.

Asthma: In general, the most common causes of shortness of breath are either heart disease or lung disease. Although there are many reasons for a person to wheeze, with your history of asthma it may just be your asthma flaring up especially as the season begins to change from summer to fall.  I think the bigger question is why are you requiring oxygen in the first place? Talk to your doctor about this.

Wheeze: After a bad cold the airways can constrict (get smaller) or spasm - this can cause a wheeze when you exhale or let your breath out.  It should resolve if you do not have a history of asthma.  You can take some magnesium glycinate from the health food store and this might help to relax your airway.  We use this treatment in the emergency room and hospital.

: Often it takes a few weeks. Probably all is OK, but check with your doctor if you remain uncertain.

Not normal: One should not expect "lung pain" , wheezing , or coughing with exercise.  Your problem is likely from exercise -induced asthma which may be prevented with a bronchodilator prior to exercise.  Warming up prior to exercise may help.  Nonetheless you need to see your doctor and get a lung function test to make sure you don't have some asthma at rest. Hard to say if being more fit would help.
