: It was a bad idea to have popped it because that may have provoked more inflammation. The scab should fall away in time and the amount of scaring may be reduced if you use moisture that is healing on the lip. Be patient and less vain may be the best option.

Depends on the cause: dark spots can be caused by many different things.  If you have dry cracking lips, using moisturizer and sunblock can make the dark spots lighter and may go away.  Home remedies like lemon juice used on your lips may help.  Smoking can cause skin changes and  should be stopped.  But it could also be a skin cancer.  If the dark spots persist, you should have a doctor look at your lips

Not natural: You have melasma, which is caused by the sun, hormones ( including the bcp) and other reasons that we do not understand. It is usually treated with bleaching creams and the constant use of a sunblock which has titanium dioxide or zinc oxide in it.

Lip shadow: I can't think of a reason why it should.  If it is the result of trauma, i.e., a bruise, ice is helpful for the first 2-3 days, and then warm compresses are better.
