im 56.. male. i have been belching & burping on & on lately. seems like it will never stop. is this acidity or gastritis problem ? or could it be worse ? any thing i can do to stop this ?

: It may be related to anxiety with air being swallowed. It may also have to do with your diet or what you drink. Is it possible you are drinking soda rather than water? You are having gas in your stomach is the primary problem, what is causing it is what it is difficult for me to speculate on.

i took diclofenac 75 mg twice daily for 7 days from oct 25th based on ortho doctor advice for my shoulder tendonitis problem.i have stomach pain which i suspect gastritis that i had 10 years ago. pl tell vegetarian food and medicines i can take. tq?

: Take antacid liquid such as mylanta as directed on the bottle for a couple days for fast relief together with famotidine or pepcid OTC 20 mg, twice a day until your symptoms completely resolve. There's no need for vegetarian food, only avoiding spicy and oily foods.

Chia: Chia seeds are a good source of omega3 fatty acids and fiber.  This should be no problem with gastritis.  Not sure what you mean by digestion problems.  Chia should be beneficial with constipation and some forma of ibs.

Gut flora imbalance: Intolerance to oily food may indicate gall bladder disease.
Eat plain yogurt twice daily.
Kefir is a russian yogurt drink full of probiotics-
good bacteria you need to balance your gut.
Probiotcs in the form of cap or tab may be added for 1-2 months.For pain take dgl-  a chemical variant of licorice.

Gastritis: You may want to see your doctor to rule out Gall Bladder problems . Typically Gall Bladder pain spreads to the shoulder and back.

Not directly: But nonsteroidal anti inflammatory agents (nsaid's) can cause topical mucosal injury and inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, decreasing mucosal mucus production, bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) secretion and mucosal blood flow. Creating stomach and duodenal irritation and ulcers. Same NSAID drugs can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.
