Talk: Talk to him and tell him how concerned you are  about him. Explain to him that you want to see him healthy and that you don't want anything to happen to him.   Urge him to get help.

Depends: Some problems are obvious and quickly discovered with the first vision.  Some take a little time, a few require hospitalization and there are some problems that never get diagnosed.

You don't have to: If doctor finds that you have  pilonidal cyst , pain is possibly due to infection , then will recommend you surgical treatment . Some times initial treatment is drainage of abscess ( I &amp;D )  and antibiotics.

See a psychiatrist: A psychiatrist can correctly diagnose your mental illness and help you get off the drugs you are addicted to.  She can also prescribe the drugs that can hlp you if your addiction is due to bipolar illness or other illnesses.  Do not give up, do not over dose, and  keep looking for a psychiatrist that can help you.  Call your doctor for a referral.

my friend has self-harmed with a lighter to her thigh. what should we do while i try to convince her to see her doctor or go to urgent care? she currently has a couple of them covered with a bandaid and it doesnt hurt to take a shower or bath?

: Limited burn lesions can be taken care at home. Keep the site clean with mild soap and dry, antibiotic ointment is OK to use, only use nonstick bandages to cover the wounds, no problem with taking shower. However, she should be evaluated by a psychiatrist as soon as possible for behavior issue which led to self-inflicted wounds.

Get these tests repeated if needed and have your doctor refer you to an Endocrine surgeon.

Visual changes: It would be wise to see another eye doctor, preferably an MD ophthalmologist. A second opinion based on a complete eye exam with some special testing is a good idea as these complaints are worthy of further evaluation.

Small risk: Miscarriages are fairly common and most of the time are just a chance occurrence. Rarely would there be a problem with not following up with a physician. If miscarriages are recurrent then an identifiable and treatable cause might be able to be found which would help you avoid a future miscarriage. If menstrual cycles have returned to normal there is probably no problem.

asthma: Sounds you like you have asthma. Cigarette smoke will greatly worsen your symptoms and i strongly urge you to stop immediately. You might benefit from a bronchodilator medication: in the usa, you would need to see a physician for that to be prescribed.
