how can i stop getting a sore nose when wearing glasses?

Check fit: It is very important to check the fit of frames at the bridge for eyeglass comfort.  Sometimes silicone nosepads can be used or a saddle bridge to distribute the weight.  Looking into thinner plastic lenses and lightweight titanium frames can help as well.  Please see  your optician.

i hit my forehead with eyeglasses that it formed a little lump6 days ago and it was sore the swelling is getting down but 4 days now i have slight headache and feels like my nose is burning like headache is facial, should i worry?

: Probably not but go to walk in clinic for evaluation if headache is new.

Evaluation needed: Glasses should fit comfortably although some with nose pieces may impress a sort of trench on the site of contact.  But the area should not be swollen, crusty or painful.  First check with the optician who made the glasses and see if the fit is way off.  Then check with your ophthalmologist so the lesion can be diagnosed as that is an area where skin cancer can occur.

See your physician: Any time you have a sore or lesion that is not healing quickly as expected you should see your physician to have it evaluated.  It is important to make sure it's not infected or something dangerous like a skin cancer.  Your overall health and nutrition status will also affect your wound healing.

i have dark marks on my face that i just can't get rid of. they are mostly near both sides of my nose due to wearing glasses. what can i do?

Ecchymosis: If the marks are in fact due to constant pressure from the glasses, you will need to consider changing your glasses, using contacts or giving your skin as much rest as possible and changing the rest position of the glasses often. You can also try applying Arnica lotion you can get from health store (GNC, Whole foods, etc.) since it may be due to ecchymosis rather than PIH.

i have a very sore bump on the side of my nose.  does not appear to have any exudate, just raised and very touchy.  right where glasses sit .

Painful papule: Try using benzoyl peroxide acne products on it or antibiotic ointment after washing throroughtly. If this doesn't help and you have a history of significant sun exposure, please visit your primary care physician or dermatologist. I do not have information about your current age, which helps with differential diagnosis.

i just had a cyst come up on the outside, in the middle of my nose.  i know it isn't a zit, becuase i can move it.  it does become sore when my glasses slide down on it.  what causes this? does it have to be removed?

Skin lesion: If the lesion is bothering you, you should see a doctor to discuss methods to get rid of it.  Some lesions respond to topical medications while others need surgical excision.
