Stretch and Movement: Use good posture/ ergonomics when sitting at the desk performing work related activities. Regularly move your neck, shoulders, back and limbs through various positions as a quick range of motion exercise. Occasional stretches of the muscles in these areas will keep them from becoming too tense which can lead to pain.

Overuse injury: Overuse injuries of the wrist are common causes of wrist pain in the absence of trauma. Carpal tunnel syndrome is especially associated with computer keyboard use, piano playing and other wrist intensive activities. OTC splints can provide some support so that the wrist is kept in a neutral position and ice can help reduce the swelling and pain.

i use the computer a lot for work. the last few weeks ive had pain my palms at the base of all fingers & wrist pain. no lumps there, just some mild tenderness. tried ice/heat/nsaids. cant see ortho yet. what is the most likely differential?

Possibly: Golfers  elbow is an inflammatory condition that affects the flexors of the wrist on the inside of the elbow.  It could not explain all the pain complaints you have.  You may have a pinched nerve in the neck which could potentially explain your symptoms.

Splints and position: Most wrist pain from typing is caused by poor positioning and movement of the wrist. You should wear straight wrist splints and adjust the height of the keyboard so your elbows are bent at 90 degrees. Also use a keyboard not just a laptop.

Acupuncture instead: I suggest consulting with an experienced acupuncturist first.  "dry needling" sticks acupuncture needles directly into muscular trigger points, and can be painful.  Training in dry needling may last a weekend.  The process of acupuncture is not painful, is much more encompassing, and acupuncture needles are directed into acupuncture points for energy flow. Training may require years.

if a large disc extrusion at c3/c4 is indenting the cord and have ddd central canal stenosis at same level. how serious is this. arm neck wrist pain?

See Spine Surgeon: "Indenting the cord" and central canal stenosis is quite serious and can result in permanent nerve damage/weakness. You should see a spine surgeon who completed orthopedic or neurosurgery training immediately. The problem can be decompressed and preserve nerve function.
