Wellbutrin (bupropion): consider asking your doc to add low to moderate dose of Wellbutrin (bupropion). The doc can make sure there are no med interactions and contraindicactions include seizures or anorexia nervosa.

Not likely.: If orgasms made people depressed, there would be a lot less pregnancies!  Talk to your doc about your feelings.  Also make sure there is nothing physically wrong that may affect your mood.   Always practice safe sex.  An unwanted pregnancy or a sexually transmitted disease is depressing, so if you are practicing unsafe sex, orgasm may certainly lead to depression for fear of the consequences.

Sexual dysfunction:  Sexual dysfunction is not uncommon for men using SSRI's  such as Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro, Celexa, Zoloft, etc. Adding in Wellbutrin can sometimes reverse this.  Good luck.

Augmentation not : Although wellbutrin (bupropion) is not known to cause sexual side effects, ssri's are all notorius for this side effect. The delay in climax in men is usually not a bad thing, in woman in tends to more undesirable due to yhe inability to achieve orgasm. I have not found any med that counteracts ssri side effect.

Medication effects: Sometimes longer foreplay can help.  Your partner could also consult with her psychiatrist about this well-known side effect of ssri antidepressants.  Sometimes adding  low-dose  wellbutrin (bupropion) can counteract anorgasmia; some also find that the herb gingko biloba can help.  She could have better luck with another antidepressant such as celexa, but it's in the same medication family. Ask her doctor.

Sexual side effects: What is his dose of Wellbutrin?.  Does he use caffeine? - that can certainly lead to anxiety &amp; other effects. Would also want to know what time of day the Wellbutrin was taken - because it should normally be used in am (because chance of insomnia is greater if taken later in day). People often adjust to Wellbutrin - it is taken regularly. ? V dose. The sexual side effects with Prozac may continue.

hi. male and 40. couldn't orgasm tonight.  recently went to er for uti and dehydration. on bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) trazedone, and prozac. do these drugs cause this?

Possible: Both Prozac (fluoxetine) and Trazodone can cause decreased libido as side effects. You are taking two antidepressants. Not clear why this is necessary. Suggest you discuss with prescribing doctor to review these meds and consider lower dose(s). I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Yes, this can be: a side effect, both issues, desire and orgasm. Approximately 30% chance, sometimes changing medication is needed, if this occurs. Be sure to discuss options with your doctor, if  so,  wellbutrin might be an option.
