Ambi : Ambi fade cream contains hydroquinone which can help fade dark marks on the face.  My first recommendation would be to prevent whatever might be causing the dark marks, such as acne or eczema?  Next, i would highly recommend that you wear a good sunscreen every day (even in the winter) to prevent the area from sun exposure.  Sun exposure will likely darken the spots and slow down recovery.  In addition, if you can afford it, i would consider seeing a dermatologist who can prescribe a stronger strength fade cream for you.

OTC Lustra (hydroquinone): Lustra (hydroquinone) cream is available otc at your department store, often in the cosmetic section. It contains 4% hydroquione which can slowly "bleach the pigmentation" in those dark areas you desire to lighten a bit. It is not permanent--it will redarken upon sun-exposure. If you have excessive/larger areas, consult a dermatologist who can do much more for you--meds vs laser treatments. Good luck.

Yes it does: Yes it peels and that is why it is called peel . The  chemicals used cause peeling of superficial skin layer. I am not sure there: a way. If this is a wide change in skin tone then one can use covermark which is a type of makeup specifically for this kind of problem.  See a derm doc for better ideas and to make sure there is not something else going on.
One must think of a condition called vitiligo.

Hyperpigmentation: When darker skin gets irritated, increased pigmentation or darkening of the skin can occur.  While there are over the counter preparations that state they can lighten the skin, most do not work. I would seek consultation with a board certified dermatologist who can suggest options for lightening the skin.  It is possible though that you will be left with skin color irregularity.

Sorry: Stretch marks are tears in the skin cause by weight gain. They can be covered up, but not improved by creams and lotions. The only possibly effective therapy is cosmetic plastic surgery, but that's a big step for a non-health and non-life threatening problem.

Weight loss: Unfortunately, effective weight loss takes time and effort.  Through a good diet and exercise program expect to lose 3-5 pounds per month.  Carbohydrate restriction (breads, pastas, sugar, beans, rich desserts) may cause a bit more rapid weight loss initially.  Consider talking to a nutritionist to get into an effective weight loss program.  Vit E oil may help with the stretch marks.

Improve: Stretch marks are permanent changes to the skin from rapid expansion either due to rapid growth or weight gain. We don't have anything to get rid of them but the initial redness will usually fade over time. For chronic stretch marks some improvement has been seen with needling and fractionated laser resurfacing. Best Wishes!
