Many causes: Anything from an extra cup of coffee, to an odd mitral valve (mine makes my heart go off like an alarm clock if i forget to exercise) to the quivering death throes of a heart in massive heart attack. Whole books are written; thankfully we can do a lot more today for hearts that beat in odd ways.

: Quite possbly - Yes
Think of the heart's contractions being like a wave motion frm top to bottom starting at the top in the sinuses. If the wave of contraction is irregular then the beat will be off and the wave interupted. It can be disquieting to experience your heart almost jumping back in to gear. But the latent rhythmicity is about once a second.

Yes, : Symptoms can vary, depending on the severity of the condition. If the arrhythmia is intermittent and comes and goes, the symptoms develop suddenly, and can go just as suddenly. Symptoms can include:
palpitations (an abnormal awareness of your heartbeat). But note: sensations of palpitations are also common in people who do not have an arrhythmia.

Needs eval soon: This could be something not serious like an adverse effect from your antihistamine. But it could also be something very serious. Heart beat irregularities occurring that often or multiple times in a row can be serious. You absolutely need to get into your doctor THIS WEEK to have it evaluated. You need a good exam of heart including rate, blood pressure and EKG, and then go form there. MAKE APPT!!

Rarely happens: The answer that you are looking  for is that the esophagus and the heart are both innervated by the vagus nerve, so intubating the esophagus can increase stimulation. The real life answer is that this is extremely rare. Having done thousands of upper endoscopies with heart monitoring, I have never seen it. Still must be cautious though. Good luck with school!

Yes: But i will recommend to get a holter test and an ekg if you haven't done it to r/o a real arrhythmia or conduction abnormality. Also avoid excess of coffe, energy drinks and if other symptoms like headaches, sweating, heat intolerance, tremors are present get a thyroid test. Stay hydrated and eat healthy.

what would be the best beta blocker to use for ventricular arrhythmia not caused by structural heart disease?

Complicated question: Depends on the arrhythmia - premature beats could be treated with almost any beta blocker.  Non sustained V tach might be better served with a calcium channel blocker or an anti arrhythmic agent ( which has beta block like qualities) such as amiodarone or sotalol.  You should discuss your particular case with your doc. Ablation may be a possibility.

Yes : For most people 3 cups of coffee is very safe. If somebody has heart  problems they need to see their cardiologist before getting any recommendations on how much caffeine is really safe
