Pregnancy: Get a pregnancy test. It could be a pregnancy or miscarriage. It could also be an ovarian cyst producing too much progesterone. I would do a Progesterone challenge, 10 days of Progesterone followed by a withdrawal to see if a normal period occurs.

Hot flashes: Hot flashes come from the lack of estrogen. There are several things to try otc. Black cohash helps some. There are a few warnings on it. Soy or phytoestrogens from the health food stores help some. Your doctor could try you on medicines that are not hormones that may help. Ask about an ssri or Clonidine at low dose.

No: Hot flashes are due to estrogen deficiency. Breast cancer by itself does not cause estrogen deficiency. That is not to say that the two cannot co-exist.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Menopause ?: True menopause involves complete cessation of estrogen production from the ovaries. Although "periods" may have stopped, estrogen is produced without ovulation by the ovaries, and when this ceases, "hot flashes" will occur as a reaction to low or absent estrogen.  See your gyn for a serum FSH  and estradiol level to confirm, and schedule a digital mammogram to be certain about breast tenderness.

Many things: There are several conditions that can cause the symptoms that you described. Although some may be benign, there are others that should be treated. I suggest you see your primary care doctor as soon as these symptoms appear.

Possibly: Hot flashes are expected from menopause. The tenderness in the breast is not.  Could be plugged duct to sebaceous cyst. Have dr re-examine, order prolactin level, and consider other imaging modalites.

SSRI;s: Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI's) commonly known as a class of anti-depressants can be effective in minimizing hot flashes. Talk to your GYN MD about this and any other alternatives to estrogen Rx's that may be available.

i was told i have pmdd, very recently. i have horrible horrible mood swings, hot flashes, headaches and severe breast pain, is there anything i can do?

Work w/your doctor: Pmdd is a more severe variant of pms, and you can work with your doctor on a regimen to manage your symptoms.  S/he may recommend ssri antidepressants because they've been shown to be effective in many women.  Also, the herb chasteberry (fruit of the vitex agnus castus plant) may help, but more research needed.  Calcium, magnesium, and vitamin b6 may help too.  These are only a few possibilities.

is it normal 54 still have periods not skipped over 2 months. also no hot flashes ? not on any medication and is it possible to skip medication since lots cancer and breast cancer in family ?

: It is normal to have menses up into mid 50's(unusual after 55).
As for Cancer in the family, you should seek medical advice on Cancer screening particularly for Breast Cancer(mammography once every year after the age of 50).
As for stopping medicines check/verify with your PCP/Family doctor about the reasons for taking your medication before you stop as some medicines are essential for good health

i have been prescribed phytoestrogens in pills to alleviate hot flashes of my premenopause.  is ii effetive? is it risky on breast cancer?

Yes and yes: Estrogen is estrogen.  The source doesn't matter.  Any amount of exogenous (from outside your body) estrogen raises the risk of breast cancer.  The effect is dose-related, that is the more estrogen, the higher the risk.  Although your increase in risk is probably slight, why not use the old tried and true methods a cool cloth on your forehead? Menopause is natural.
