i took my dog to the vet and he was positive for hookworms. my bowel movements have been strange and they seem to have white-ish sesame seed like things all in it. if i had hookworms, wouldn't i find worms in stool?

No: If one has hookworm infestation, the worm is generally not seen in the stool but hookworm eggs are.  Dog hookworm can cause rashes in people related to the larval form (cutaneous larva migrans) but not mature to its adult form.

Depends: Which hookworm?  Necator americanus is most common in the usa, although dogs may be infected with ancylostoma caninus.  There are no specific symptoms common to this infestation, except for anemia which may occur with heavy parasitosis.  Occasionally these worms may be seen in the stool, but best diagnosed by sending stool specimens to the laboratory (may take several specimens).

: Maybe/not. I suspect the only thing you would accomplish is opening the skin barrier to chance invasion by surface germs until the skin wound heals over. You kill hookworms by taking the meds that are toxic to this one and all the other ones that have not reached a visible site.

Hello. : Hello. It sounds like you have a lot of stressors right now.  Methamphetamine abusers can have profound problems with itching and often believe that they have parasites.  The belief that the person has a parasite is called "meth mites".  As a result of meth use, the person develops intense  itching and scratches his or herself to the point of developing a rash or numerous bloody sores.  I treated one man with methamphetamine addiction, who developed sepsis (infection in the blood) because of obsessive scratching, picking at his skin and trying to dig out what he throught was scabies with a knife.
  There are some people with serious mental disorders that develop something called tactile hallucinations, in which they have physical sensations which they might attribute to bugs, parasites, spiders etc. (when in fact there are no bugs or parasites present). 
    Hookworm is a parasitic worm that lives in the small intestine. Their eggs hatch in dirt. If you walked barefoot  in contaminated dirt, there is a possibility that a hookworm could enter your skin. I am doubtful that what you are experiencing is hookworm from your description, because they normally are in the gut where they often cause no symptoms. A more serious complication would be blood loss with resulting anemia. They would not be crawling in and out of your skin.
  It is clear that you are feeling miserable. I hope that you are able to determine the cause of this soon and get appropriate care.

i've had worms for about 6 moths and i have been taking albenza (albendazole) for the last month for what the doc said was hookworm why can't i get rid of them ?

Recheck: O & p x 3. Again. Check with your doc to get it fixed. Six months is toooooooooooooo long.
