Unlikely: This is usually the result of a vascular catastrophe or stroke in the occipital lobe of the brain.  If persistent, there is little likelihood of improvement.  There are occupational therapist s  who can help you cope with this but reversal is not possible.

Unlikely: The loss of the left field (from each eye in your case) is the worst possible for driving as we drive in the usa on the right side of the road and most important hazards come from the left which is a blind spot for you.  Wa state will measure your vision which might b e fine, and will do a test of whether you can see to the left which you will fail.  Frankly you will be a hazard to all on the road.

Usually: posterior to the optic chiasm suggestive of a serious intracranial process.  If this is not just an academic question I would recommend rapid evaluation.

Stroke brain disease: Homonymous hemianopsia refers to a defect in the field of vision that is typically caused by a stroke or brain disease.

Depends upon cause: Not uncommon for this to be due to stroke, but can be seen with any brain pathology affecting optic radiations or occipital lobe.  Treatment in case of stroke is best preventative, such as using anti platelet drugs, but once there is tissue damage, unusual for much improvement.  Unfortunately, no simple solution to reverse brain damage once established.

Mostly no: If the hemianopia is on the left side, that is an absolute barrier to driving.  If the hemianopia is on the right, driving can be done although parking is a bit dicey and there is a risk of unforeseen things happening on that side.  Drving in these circumstances should be done very cautiously.

Nerve fiber pattern: Bitemporal  hemianopia is the classic later stage vision pattern in advancing pituitary tumor.  Generally the central fibers, which carry the best acuity are affected later in the condition.  A great deal of vision loss would have to be ignored by someone with this condition before the nerve fibers for the central acuity start to drop out.

Risky: Hemianopia refers to a loss of the visual field entirely on one side (from both eyes) .  So if right sided, then nothing on the right is seen.  In our traffic pattern, a right hemianopic could drive for limited purposes infrequently.  Someone with left hemianopia cannot safely drive under any circumstances as most road hazards are from the left.
