Get informed about your options &amp; recognize that traditional healing is mostly about relationship with practitioner.

Depends: It is reported by some anecdotal reports that arnica montana may be helpful for pain much like an antiinflammatory drug would help. I am not sure if this would be effective enough though, but probably safe.

Maybe ok: Truly homeopathic "medications" are made by repeated dilutions, so that the ingredient is not really there anymore (just the "essence" of it remains). That means there is no active ingredient left to cause any benefit. However, that also implies that the homeopathic "medicine" should be pretty harmless, unless some other non-homeopathic ingredient (such as some decongestant chemical) was added.

May be no need to: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, one does not treat lab results but the patient. Why did you mom have the tests done? Slightly raised eosinophil count does not need to be reduced if it is not causing any problem.

Maybe: 9% eosinophils is usually somewhat high but is not a problem by itself. High eosinophils can occur with allergy (nasal allergy, asthma, eczema) or a parasitic infection. The problem depends on what is going on with you more than the number on a test.

Need more info: The physician who is treating you is the best person to give you the answer to your questions as there are a lot of other things that come into play. One must know the "whole" patient to determine what is going on and then prescribe the remedy. I can understand your concern &amp; your physician should sit down with you and explain his plan and why he prescribed this particular medication.
