Get a real Rx: Forgive my frankness. Acne is a serious, chronic disease that can devastate a young person physically and emotionally. It can be managed easily by a physician. If topical benzoyl peroxide has failed, get junior to a physician. If he ends up scarred because you insisted on a "home remedy", he will resent you for the rest of his life -- and he'll be right to feel this way.

Get Rx: Benzoyl peroxide is the only over-the-counter remedy that will help much and the "pop" remedies don't work. Your physician may add topical clindamycin, a retinoic acid derivative, or both, and if you are not clear in a month, add a systemic antibiotic such as tetracycline 500 2x/day. For the strongest stuff, a dermatologist can help.
