okay, so i just changed my soap from dove to a natural honey and oat soap. i noticed i have some random bumps (possibly irriataed pores?) on my leg.

Folliculitis : Well, the idea of putting honey the soap is interesting but I'm wondering if that would result in the soap having some degree of sugar in it. If so, I could conceive the possibility that putting sugar on your skin might predispose towards irritation/inflammation of the hair follicle = folliculitis. Try switching back to Dove and see what happens.

i love to use pore strips on the face to remove black heads. i use it every other day. does the constant tearing off d face loosen the skin?

Accepted Answer

No, but: You should only use a pore strip once or twice per week. It can cause skin irritation as the strip will remove the top layer of skin cells.

is it safe for adults/kids to take 1/2 teaspoon homemade honey elderberry syrup per day as a preventative measure? should it only be taken when ill?

Not for babies!: No baby, 12 months or under should have any honey at all due to infant botulism. There have been 2 VERY SMALL studies on elderberry extract, none for honey. Results to duplicate even these small studies need to use the exact form of elderberry used in that study, if trying to get same results.  Supplements are not regulated and so there is no guarantee on that amount or useability of the form used

if you placed a biore pore face strip too close to your eyebrows and it pulled some eyebrows out will those eyebrows grow back or is follicle damaged?

No problem: Those brow hairs will grow back.  The biore strip can pull out hairs but will not damage the follicle so their normal function will resume.

are nose strips for blackheads effective? how often should they be used? is there a way to close the pores on my nose from them?

Pore strips: Pore strips that supposedly lift out blackheads actually lift out microscopic hairs, called trichostasis spinulosa. There is no evidence that they are effective for blackheads which are a form of acne.  Medications for blackheads include benzoyl peroxide, retinoids (adapalene, tretinoin, tazarotene) and sulfur-based topicals.  Please talk to your dermatologist about what medication is best for you.

i used 2 pore strips on my nose about 1 mo. ago and pores on nose became enlarged. i have rx for atralin and acanya. will they go back to normal?

A tiny amount is derived from fish but this is labelled as such- it is produced for those who don't eat mammals. Most capsules in drugs and supplements are made from gelatin but many supps are made from vegcaps derived from
cellulose.

Highly unlikely: Your gelatin like mucus is not indicative of cancer.  There are any reason your mucus can change. Cancer is not really one of them.
