Might be an upper : Respiratory infection,  cold tips: for sore throat – gargle with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). * for congestion – saline nose drops or a neti pot. *for anti-inflammatory effect ; mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.**for hydration- lots of water. Try clear broth. * add honey ; a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea.

Yes: When in doubt, it is better be safe than sorry. Itchy throat is not a symptoms for a cold however and one wonders if you are allergic instead.  In the meanwhile, may try otc antihistamine

You can always try an over the counter antihistamine (non-drowsy) and see if your symptoms improve.  If they don't improve you should see an ENT doctor in order to address all these issues at once.

An antihistamine could provided some relief.Drink lots of water to keep your mouth and throat moist.  If any further spots appear on your palate or if symptoms worsen see your physician or an ENT specialist.
