Pleurisy: Can be caused by multiple things: pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pulmonary embolism (blood clot to lung), pneumonia, inflammation around lung, etc. Some of these can be dangerous so i advise getting it checked out asap.

i have got a very tight chest and pain on breathing,  went to a&e last night who told me it wasn't heart problems any ideas what it may be?

Anxiety: Stress, panic, exhaustion. You are holding your stress in your chest so tightly it is causing the muscles there to fatigue and your body is screaming at you to fix this. You need to find a way to manage your anxiety in healthier ways. You do not need the er. This not your heart.

doc gave me medrol (methylprednisolone) pack for possible ms relapse. have had the iv drip many times. it always gives me chest pain on breathing in. how can i combat this?

Accepted Answer

Advice: If you do indeed have a true ms relapse, a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dosepak lacks sufficient impact to really reverse it, but both oral and intravenous approaches will work.  Just need much higher dosing level.  Maybe you would tolerate Prednisone or acthar better.  Discuss with your doctor.

Labored breathing: If any one experiencing shortness of breath, it needs an exam by a qualified health professional and timely intervention.A variety of causes can cause this condition which can range from not so serious to life threatening.The short answer-no! you need to find out why you have labored breathing!

home remedy for blocked nostril or difficulty of breathing to one side of nostril, i don't think it's sinutis because i don't feel "stuffy" in my blocked nostril, i just feel that it's blocked, and it kinda have some watery inside it?

: There may be an area of inflammation or an allergic reaction to a specific exposure. Nasal saline rinses may provide relief, and if there is no improvement, please see your PCP.  Avoid dust, mold, pollen, animal dander and smoke exposure. Watch for itchiness and rash. An allergic reaction may also cause cough and wheezing.

i have a rattle in my lungs from an acid reflux attack.  is there a home remedy or do i have to see my doctor for a breathing treatment?

GERD: If you truly have GERD, then you can try some conservative measures to see if the symptoms improve-try not to eat within 2-3 h of going to bed, elevate your bed or head approx 30 degrees, avoid spicey foods or those that cause you to have gas. Aspiration of gastric contents can injure the lung and airway and lead to infection/ cough/ bronchospasm  and should be evaluated if symptoms don't improve.

contracted a cold while traveling in europe. i have asthma. been using my inhaler and home breathing treatment but still feel a lot of wheezing/strain?

Need an evaluation: You can have different infections from different locations of the globe. It would be wise to see your physician . There are certain illnesses in Europe they're not present here yet.

Shoulder: I would suggest an x-ray to rule out a fracture after an adequate exam to evaluate the soft tissues around the joint. If the x-ray is negative and pain continues with conservative therapy, then an MRI may be needed to rule out a rotator cuff tear.

Could have cracked  : I hope you did not crack one of your ribs. Usually a broken rib causes much pain on taking a deep breath or if you try to cough. You should see your doctor to confirm it one way ot the other..May need to take an xray to check it out. Also take pain medicine to relieve your pain. But a vsit with your doctor may be most useful.
