what is the best remedy for yellow toe nails?

Not an easy answer: Yellow toenails may be caused by fungus under the nail. Treatment is possible but takes a long time. I would see a podiatrist and have your nails examined to confirm that it is fungus, generally done with a culture of the nail. Treatment can be oral medication, topical antifungual medicine, laser treatment or permanent removal of the nail. Reocuurance is common.

: It would be useful to see a podiatrist to have a proper diagnosis. If it is fungal, there is an easy oral antifungal tablet that you may need to take for 3 months to ensure eradication of the fungus, if the symptoms are due to fungus.

Toenail mycosis: It is difficult to treat fungal infections of the toenails. If the medications failed, you might have to have the toenail removed to adequately treat the area. Lamisil (terbinafine) may work, so see a podiatrist for the prescription and advice.

Depends: If there is not some pathological underlying cause that caused the nail to fall off and needs treatment, it is usually ok to wait.  The nail will ultimately grow back but it can take even up to about three months to do so.
