Not known for sure: I am thinking that there have not been enough studies on this issue although you use the term permanent and for the purposes of discussion is might be more illustrative to focus on long term.  In that sense, the changes in lean body mass percentage and the recruitment of brown fat that is more likely in the context of anorexia would make long term changes in metabolism possible!  stay safe!

need to see your doc: Are you still having problems with anorexia?  Or have you just recently recovered?  If so you should see your doctor for labs tests.  You could be anemic, have your salts (electrolytes) out of whack, or even have a heart problem caused by any of the above.  You could also just be simply dehydrated.  Your doc could figure this out quickly.

Treatment helps and those who are not treated risk dying.
