: Why are you doing the tests? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Healthy UA: The pH of urine can vary throughout the day and is somewhat related to diet.  Urine is more likely to be acidic in the morning and less so later in the day and can also change if time lapses before testing.   If your child had kidney stones,  the pH would perhaps be more important,  The sg of 1.005 indicates that your child is well hydrated.

Hemoglobin in urine: Small amount not of concern especially as cystoscopy was negative. Kidney ultrasound would rule out kidney tumor. Urine is concentrated because U likely are not drinking enough water. Absence of protein in urine also rules out significant kidney disease. Please relax.

urine culture came back positive for uti and on cipro. still have frequent urination and protein and specific gravity in urine, any ideas on what this can be?

: Your data is vague. Was a urine culture done and the germ sensitive to cipro? All urine, normal or not has a specific gravity. You did not specify the amount of protein. Was a repeat culture done to see if the germ was killed? Without more info it is hard to know if the drug failed or you have an unrelated bladder infection (cystitis). Best review the info with your treating doc.
