Underlying cause ?: These are each signs of disease - need to find underlying cause to fix. High platelets and high WBC come from any kind of inflammation (infection, autoimmune, injury, etc), high potassium can be cellular damage or kidneys not working well. Anemia can be from internal or external bleeding, blood cells being destroyed, or inability to create enough new rbcs (nutritional or bone marrow problem).

Autoimmune disease: You should see an endocrinologist to accurately diagnose your condition. More than one autoimmune condition could be present, so diagnosis and treatment have to be correct. The combination of thyroid, adrenal, and hematologic disorders is potentially serious and complex.

Always Positive: Will always show positive titers for epstein bar virus(ebv) sometimes positive mono can give false positive sle.

Fever: I would suggest seeing a hematologist in regard to your fever, severe anemia and swollen glands asap.

Anemia and high K: Your high potassium (k) could be due to your elevated platelet (p) count. It is due to k being liberated in the test tube from the p. Your anemia is another issue and needs evaluation by a physician (p). You are on iron supplements and patients that are iron deficient have high p counts. You need medical help to find the cause(s) of your anemia, which could be blood loss, among others. See a p.

See below: Anemia can cause an elevated platelet count.  Lupus is rare when ANA is negative and is less likely with a high platelet count and white blood cell count.  The old mono that you mention is probably past exposure to mono.  If you are not seeing a hematologist, you want to consider it.

i have grade 2 scariolitis (as) and i take no medication. i have low hemoglobin 118, low mch 27.2 and high rdw which came on suddenly. my blood count was normal six weeks ago, except the low potassium level of 3.3. could i have aoi anemia or inflammation?

Anemia: Iron deficiency anemia is the most common cause of anemia.  It can be due to heavy periods.  It can be treated with ferrous sulfate 325 3 times daily for 6 months.  If periods are very heavy and period is very heavy endometrial ablation may  be necessary.

can high bun/creatinine ratio (53, 2.0) in absence of gi bleeding mean dehydration if sodium and chloride is slightly lower than normal range and potassium is slightly elevated? patient has diabetes, anemia, chf and on fluid restriction.

Mgt: Your heart condition may be affecting your kidneys. The electrolytes may also indicate fluid retention secondary to your heart condition.  I would suggest a urine analysis and evaluation of your cardiac condition. Is your diabetes under treatment?
