my estrone came back high and my dr says i need to take very high doses of iodine for 2 months to fix it, safe?is there any other way i can lower it?

Confusing: Something not right here. Estrone levels can be high for a variety of reasons. "High" may not be abnormal for you depending upon your cycle.  So.... I am not sure that you "need lowering." I cannot see how iodine would  affect your estrone level in any case. If this is your regular doc, consider seeing an internal medicine specialist or an endocrinologist.

i'm a 34 y/o male. labs for testosterone (free+total), estrogens total, & estradiol were w/in reference interval.  but estrone serum result was marked as high (83 pg/ml for a 12-72 pg/ml reference interval). is this concerning?

Borderline high: Since your estradiol level was normal, one can't be sure of the significance of a slightly elevated estrone level although one study suggested that it may be a precursor of type 2 diabetes in men. ?of whether it would affect libido or erectile dysfunction.  An endocrinologist is best qualified to answer your question,however. Perhaps repeating the test is worthwhile.

Difficult to say: Some guys just do not make enough and need supplementation. You might just fall in that category. It sounds like you have had a work up and you do not have a tumor or anything else to account for your low testosterone.

on birth control patch for estrogen supplement. still have very low levels of estradiol (5.0), and estrone (11.8). patch was on for test. what could do this? did have normal periods for 6 yrs. could this be autoimmune? being treated for lupus too.

Couple of questions: Your primary problem of low estrogen could be related to an autoimmune issue. As to the low levels being  persistent after a patch is applied that can be related to the product. Some people absorb a cream better or different patches. Talk to your provider about your options.

Three Estrogens: Estrone, estradiol, and estriol are the three estrogens.  They differ in chemical structure which changes their potency and their site of action. Their site of secretion can be different, and their ratios change according to age.

Yes: Any of these hormones can be affected by exercise. What matters most is the amount of fat you have in your body, because fat stores estrogen, which can affect the signaling for ovulation in your body, which can really affect the amount of progesterone that would be found on a blood test.

Yes: Those appear to be in the normal range for age.
