No cure: Herpes is forever. It can be treated with an antiviral (acyclovir or Valtrex (valacyclovir) ). You can also be put on a daily preventative doe of either medication to prevent flair ups.

dr said my bf has herpes in mouth but its curable i looked online and it doesn't say nothing about cure can she be wrong?  is it contigious?

Herpes: Herpes can be treated to shorten the course of symptoms, but is not curable. This does not mean that he necessarily passed it to you. Also, ask the doctor for clarification as herpes does not generally affect inside the mouth, but rather on the lips.

Probably not serious: For sure this isn't herpes. I suppose it could be HPV, but a new HPV lesion would be rare at your age of 39. There are many possibilities, and the large majority of skin problems of teh penis are not STDs and aren't serious. Since two doctors apparently aren't certain, consider seeing a dermatologist.

Herpes Simplex : Virus 1 (hsv-1) is the most common cause of cold sores. A cold sore is a lesion with blisters (lip, chin, cheek, nostril ; sometimes mouth) which causes burning, pain ; itching. It is filled with fluid that is teaming with the herpes simplex virus. Hsv -2 can less commonly lead to oral lesions.

See below: In the mouth herpes rapidly ulcerates is is painful  your doctor can take a smear of that lesion in the mouth and send it to the lab and they can see the viral particles that diagnose herpes.

B/C you have HSV: True that some things can "trigger" an outbreak--various significant stresses (infection, trauma, emotional/psych stresses, etc.), but the disease can/will episodically flare over your lifetime. See your dr, as Acyclovir or Valtrex (valacyclovir) may help reduce duration/severity now, and may be a suppressant if frequent / severe outbreaks.

Very unlikely: If you have recurrent oral herpes, there is no risk of "spreading it around". Once an HSV infecition has been present a few months, the immune system usually prevents autoinoculation, i.e. infection elsewhere on the body. (If you're having your first HSV infection, local spread could occur.) Don't push your luck: wash hands or use alcohol gel often, don't rub eyes. But really, no worries.

Herpes: Herpes only affects the skin at which the infection occurs. It does not migrate to any other part of the body. There are two types of herpes. 75% of us have type one-- which we used to call "oral". And 25% have type two! the "genital" herpes.
