EXTREMELY RARE: Cancerous tumor that starts in the liver. It occurs in infants and children. It affects 1 in 1.5 million children. It usually presents with an abdominal mass, and it is most commonly diagnosed by age 3.
Some blood test like Alpha fetoprotein are usually elevated, but when not elevated, it means bad news.Removal, adjuvant chemo and transplant are the treatment of choice, depending on stage found.
