Not necessarily: Unfortunately, all hemorrhoids don't just go away and require some form of treatment either conservative or if thrombosed (clotted) surgical.  Many times prescriptive topical creams with steroids, increasing fluids, stool softeners work after a few days.  Would recommend a quick visit with your doctor for advice after exam. Want to be certain it is a hemorrhoid.

No ruhemorrin here: If it is a topical analgesic, use it 3 x a day after a sitz bath.  Wallabies might be reluctant to have southern end manipulated.

If that doesn't solve the problem or if there is any bleeding then go see a surgeon for further treatment.

Warm Tub soaks: Eat a healthy hi fiber diet, drink plenty of non caffeinated , non alcoholic fluid daily, more if you exercise or travel by plane alot.
80-100 ounces per day is a good start and go up from there depending on your activity level. Also stop reading on the toilet. Have your bm within 5 minutes or get out and come back when the urge is truly there.

R U certain of Dx?: Hemorrhoids are classified as internal (which bleed and protrude) or external (which can cause pain when thrombosed).  Pain from thrombosed hemorrhoids respond well to sitz baths; if ineffective, minor surgery is necessary.  Internal hemorrhoids don't cause pain; these are often confused with fissures, which can be quite painful, yet responsive to medication +/- surgery.
