Happens.: A thin muscular layer surrounding the testicle called the cremaster muscle can cause the testicle to retract upward toward the body. This is part of the temperature regulation of the testis. If the entire testicle cannot be felt, this could be an undescended testicle, usually diagnosed in childhood. Since one usually cannot tell if his testicle is twisted, an exam by the doctor is needed.

Need a buyer: On the lighter side, i hear you can sell almost anything  on ebay or craigslist though the website quirky might be more appropriate.  On the serious side, I am unaware of any market or meaningful use for a testicle let alone an md who would remove a normal one, but we live in interesting times and who knows what the future beholds. Some day the animals may rule the world and look for payback!

Feel alike: You should feel two testicles that have the same firmness. If you always have just one that you can feel the other may be undescended. Undescended testicles should be evaluated by a urologist.
