Underarm rash: Underarm rashes may be the result of an allergic reaction to a deodorant or antiperspirant. However, heat, fungal skin conditions as well as razor burn may be to blame too. A rash under the arm can be embarrassing as the urge to scratch may be over powering. You can try otc cortisone twice a day but if not improved see your doctor.

my friend has had a rash under his right armpit and has diabetes. he has taken antibiotic and cream to no effect.what can he do to get rid of it? its red looks awful. he says what happened was he shaved a mole off and  its just got worse. thanks?

Needs to see doc : Your friend has to see his doc timely as history suggests a local infection that may be mixed bacterial/fungal or bacterial, but resistant to common antibiotics. Having it evaluated fast will help in avoiding significant complications on the background of his diabetes.

After you bathe...: ...Apply a good emollient lotion (any brand will do) to your skin while it is still moist, to lock in the moisture. If that doesn't solve the problem, there is more going on than just dry skin, and you will have to see a dermatologist.

i have an armpit rash that won't go away. i stopped using roll-ons and sprays, tried prescribed and offthecounter creams, sensitive products but it won't go away. i suspect im allergic to sweat because i also have itchiness and rashes in pubic area.

Under arm rash : It is hard to say what the rash is without looking at it in person. It could be anything from a fungal rash to something more concerning such as hidradenitis suppurativa. Both of which require totally different treatments. Since you have not had any luck taking care of this yourself it’s time to seek a professional opinion from your PCP. Can't see it: It is possible but can't tell what you have from your info here.
Characteric, appearance/color, size, duration are important features to know.. also what type of OTC cream you used. being 40 something, an evaluation by your doc for possible skin cancer is strongly recommended. most skin cancers when found early can be easily treated.

Rash: keep area dry as possible, if you shave stop, if your deodorant worsens rash change to a deodorant without scent. Try hydrocortisone 3 times a day for next 2-3 days if no better see your local physician. I hope this helps!

This : This is difficult to answer without a clinical examination.  It could be many things including eczema, hives, fungal infection, or other possibilities.
