Hard to say: Hard to say, if this has always been the case, then you are just fortunate and maybe should consider being a chef! if it is new, it's possible that you used to have some nasal issues that limited your sense of smell that have now improved (like allergies). If you are smelling something funny that is not actually there, then you should see an ent.

Maybe: Stress affects the body in very strange ways. I've never heard of it causing a change in smell but i suppose it is a possibility!

Skull base tumor: Benign tumors of skull base and coverings of brain called meningiomas can alter sense of smell and  can cause spinal fluid leakage through nose. Mri eval would be useful.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Sense of smell: Yes it is known that birth control pills can enhance the sense of smell. It may be due to an increase in Progesterone levels.

Maybe allergies: A decreased sense of smell can be related to significant nasal congestion and obstruction from allergies during your allergy season.  Another possibility for a decreased sense of smell is nasal polyps.  While these are not cancerous, they can lead to nasal congestion, sinus infections, and be associated with Aspirin hypersensitivity.  It would be helpful to have a thorough nasal examination.

Your : Your sptom complex doesn't appear to fit into a clear syndrome. The menstrual irregularity can be associated with anovulation. I would recommend an exam, thyroid and prolactin levels and possibly fsh/lh levels.
