is it possible to have any type of heavy bleeding and still be pregnant?

Accepted Answer

Yes: If a pregnant woman (has a positive pregnancy test) has  vaginal bleeding, she should contact her Ob-Gyn doctor. Depending on how far along in the pregnancy the woman is, and how much bleeding is happening, her doctor may ask her to come in for an evaluation. If she has bleeding from somewhere other than her vagina, she should contact her primary care doctor or go to an Urgent Care or an ER.

Check preg test: The easiest thing to do is head to any local pharmacy and pick up an over the counter pregnancy test. They are cheap and reliable. If you are pregnant please seek prenatal care. If you are not please see your doctor to get on some effective birth control.

Your hormones are: in flux for some reason.  Many factors affect the normal flow of periods including age, season, weather, stress, exercise, body girth, nutrition, etc.  I would wait until the period returns and see if the next cycle brings regularity. is natural birth possible when you have a low placenta and have had a c-section in 2017.  i recently expirienced heavy bleeding and was hospitalised at 31 weeks pregrant.

No: The low lying placenta with the heavy bleeding precludes any form of vaginal delivery as labor will again cause life threatening hemorrhage.

i am dignosed with subchronic hemorrhage at week 5 which is greater than 50% after 2 times heavy bleed.now i am 11 week pregnant and scan shows now hemorrhage is less than 50% is my baby safe now fetal heart rate of baby is 162bpm?

Chorionic bleeding ?: A "subchorionic hemorrhage" at week 5 which enlarges with detectable vaginal bleeding, with now an 11 week size/fetal activity documented pregnancy is generally considered "safe" in continuing therefrom.  A fetal heart rate of 162 is normal.

7 weeks pregnant, subchorionic hemorrhage 2.3 x 0.9 x 2.2 cm. what does this mean and how worried should i be? pain and light bleeding on and off.

Did you ask your OB?: Because your OB should have already discussed this at length with you, so you should really call your OB this weekend, i tell my pts that is a blood clot behind the placenta that hopefully will go away but u shouldn't have intercourse or any bouncing around or exercise and u will need followup us in 2 weeks, in some cases it could lead to loss of pregnancy, normal to spot call if heavy bleed orpain.

"6w pregnant" ?'s: At six weeks of pregnancy, this kind of "subchorionic hemorrhage" may lead to miscarriage, but also may be resolved.  Your OB physician will schedule additional ultrasound tests to follow progression of your pregnancy.

Yes: Bleeding in pregnancy is quite common happening in about one third of pregnancies.  Most of the time it is light bleeding or spotting, but it can be heavier than a period and the pregnancy still be normal.
