Did you ask your OB?: Because your OB should have already discussed this at length with you, so you should really call your OB this weekend, i tell my pts that is a blood clot behind the placenta that hopefully will go away but u shouldn't have intercourse or any bouncing around or exercise and u will need followup us in 2 weeks, in some cases it could lead to loss of pregnancy, normal to spot call if heavy bleed orpain.

Sub chorionic bleed: According to a retrospective study from the department of obstetrics and gynecology of washington university, you may be at risk of placenta abruption and preterm delivery. Of note, placenta abruption is the abnormal separation of the placenta from the uterus after 20 weeks of gestation and prior to birth. It affects both mother and baby.
