Vagal Stimulation: Cough and palpitations may be mediated by the same nerve in the body (called the vagus nerve).  With significant coughing irriation of the nerve can take place resulting in palpitations or tachycardia (fast heart beat).  Usually palpitations associated with coughing are safe but you should be evaluated by a health care provider to be sure.

Difficult to answer : These significant symptoms require a person to person evaluation, examination by a doctor, and a variety of testing. A Cardiologist is who you need to consult with. If you have already seen one, then I would recommend a second opinion by another one.

went to urgent care yesterday i was negative for covid and step but i have bronchitis i was given meds but my chest is sore from coughing it's hard to breath without coughing feels like i can feel my heart flutter i just started the meds today is thi?

: You should take cough suppressant such as robitussin DM or mucinex DM over the counter and tylenol for chest discomfort if you do not currently take them. ER usually gives script for antibiotic +/- inhaler +/- steroid.

It however also can be a marker of a serious heart problem so if persistent consult your doctor.

Cold drinks with ice can lead to acute atrial fibrillation through the same process.

Now that the percutaneous techniques have been refined, surgery is rarely performed for atrial flutter..

Probably not: I have never seen or heard of that. If you just mean palpitations or a fluttering sensation in the chest, perhaps. Some people get bloating from a high fiber diet and that could possible cause fluttering sensations in the chest. All palpitations are not related to actual irregular heart beat. The palpitation is just a sensation that you get of fluttering in the chest.
