All that means is th: That u have a viable 8 week gestation which is good so far, u will be getting as you progress testing to rule out down's and other problems and a fetal anatomy scan that your OB can tell you  about once u have more testing then that is in your favor, but u will still need to be followed and have a normal labor and delivery or csection cause usually everything goes well but there are no guarantees.

Palpitations: These are caused by many things. Stress, excitement, irritants both physical and chemical, pressure like a hiatal hernia or esophageal push or pull, and primary heart things, the causes are very many in number.

No fetal heart beat: If at 8 weeks there is no heartbeat on multiple occasions( 2 or 3),  the baby is not alive. if you have not spontaeously started to deliver the fetal remains , then it is best to have it induced and if needed have a vacuum aspiration or D&amp;C. The longer the fetal remains are inside more risk of infection, prolonged bleeding.Many women experience fetal loss and have subsequent sucessful pregnancies

Irregular heart beat: You may be having some skipped heart beats or premature ventricular contractions, called PVC's.  These are often not worrisome but first one needs to confirm the problem.  Please see your doctor.   An EKG may give the diagnosis, or a longer heart beat monitor can be ordered to clarify the problem.  Caffeine and stress often stimulate the heart and may contribute to your symptoms.

Not normal : If it is really the baby's heartbeat, that would be too low. It is most likely your pulse you are hearing, but you should go in and have the baby monitored immediately to make sure.

Hi. : Hi. This clearly is concerning for you. If it was a transvaginal ultrasound, a gestational sac might be visible at 5 weeks of gestation and the yolk sac would be seen shortly thereafter.  Using the same type of ultrasound the fetal pole is often seen about 5 Â½ to 6 Â½ weeks. There might be a fetal heartbeat at that time. If there isnâ€™t a heartbeat  and the fetal pole is not seen, the transvaginal ultrasound can be repeated in 3 to 7 days. By week 7, a heartbeat would be expected. You need to ask your doctor for an interpretation of the ultrasound results.  Causes could be that the conception dates are off, a miscarriage, a blighted ovum or an ectopic pregnancy.  Take care.

Further work up : Several conditions can cause these symptoms. Can't suggest a diagnosis without further info. The good news is that in a person your age they're very treatable.

Depends: All human beings have some irregular heart beat sometimes. If it's something you've occasionally noticed, i wouldn't include it on a health survey, but if your doctor has given you a specific diagnosis, e.g. Atrial fibrillation or supraventricular tachycardia (among others), then i would include it.
