is aquaphor good for healing facial scabs?

Aquaphor & Healing: Aquaphor is a good way to protect skin barrier that has been disrupted a result of inflammation or controlled injury, such as a "laser peel". It prevents skin from drying out and becoming tight and itchy. It has no discreet medicinal properties.
Use should not harm a small scab. If the area is sizable, see your doctor for a better recommendation.

hello, i have several scabs all over my face. the worst one is on my chin and looks very ugly. it all started after i invested in a new face wash. how do i sleep up the healing? how long will it take? i have school in 5 days& i want my face to be clear as

Have it checked: It's possible you may have had a local allergic reaction but whenever I hear of sudden outbreak of frequent scabs I think of Impetigo. It's yellow crusted and kinda wet looking. It's due to a germ and will respond quickly to antibiotics. Unusual rashes are best seen by an MD to help determine the cause and the best treatment. For now was skin in sensitive skin mild soap/water. Neosporin to scabs.

Cold sores: you could put neosporin on the open lesions but taking prophylactic antivirus may be better. In addition taking it when you have an outbreak may help better

Leave it dry.: Please leave it dry. Your wound is healing. The scab is protecting it from germs and dirt. You don't need to apply anything more on it.

Redness fades!: Redness is a color not a scar. Redness will fade in time and it varies per person. I would not spend the money for laser treatments even though it might speed up the recovery time.

Acne: This may be an infection, but to get you through the night,  try a frozen,  wet green tea bag or maybe a little witch hazel and apply as a cold compress.  Sometimes a little hydrocortisone can help with temporary inflammation but if it really becomes tender or hot, or has yellow discharge (aka pus), see a doctor because an abscess could form, leading to a much larger bump &amp; scab PLUS a scar!

Scab: Most scabs from an abrasion  can take 10 to 14 days to heal.  Infection, diabetes or vascular problem can delay healing.

No: I would recommend polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) ointment.

Eczema: It sounds like you have an infection on your bottom that is not healing.  Your best bet is to go see your doctor or a dermatologist to treat this as well as get your eczema under control

Its natural: Your skin (epidermis) is a natural, porous barrier to the outside world.  It keeps the fluid inside your body.  When you scrape off skin, or have a break in the skin from an incision, the body will "leak" blood and serum out of the wound.  The body tries to seal off the area with a scab.  Wounds left to heal by scabbing typically look worse than a wound kept moist with an emollient during healing.
