Apply Aloe vera: Keep sunburn cool with moist cool/cold compresses.  Avoid alcohol containing products.  Break off pieces of aloe vera plant & apply sap to lips.  Consider non-steroidal anti-inflammatory meds to reduce pain.  Don’t yank off peeling skin or burst blisters. Seek medical care for severe pain, fever, lack of improvement of symptoms within several days or if a large surface area is blistered.

Moisture: Preventing a sunburn is a lot easier than curing one.  Sunscreen or shade can prevent them.  To cure or reduce it, add lots of moisture and clean gently with mild cleansers.  Vaseline or aquaphor can be soothing to these areas.  If it blisters, you may want to see your doctor.

YOU PUT A FIRE OUT WITH WATER.
SOAK YOUR LIPS IN WARM WARM WATER TWO OR THREE HOURS FOR TEN TO FIFTEEN MINUTES EACH TIME.
GET A HANKIE AND SOAK IT IN WATER AND APPLY IT TO YOUR LIPS, DONT PUT ANY CREAMS OR OINTMENTS ON YOUR LIPS (EXCEPT ZINC OXIDE).
AT BEDTIME, AFTER THE SOAKS, PUT ON SOME ZINC OXIDE.

Keep lubricates with: a mild ointment like Vaseline.  Cool compresses will help pain and swelling and oral ibuprofen or acetaminophen may help the discomfort.  Avoid further sun exposure or lipstick until healed.  Some of the new lip products have sunscreen benefit, which is a good idea for the future.

Get checked: Something is causing the dark black marks, so get checked. An oral surgeon could biopsy and find what is going on.

Lip swelling: Lip swelling can result from a number of things. Recent sun exposure could cause lip swelling. Allergic reactions to food, lip stick, a hiost of other things could. If the lip swelling is associated with tongue swelling call 911. Watch your salt as that can cause lip and facial swelling. Insect bites can cause this-look for a bite mark. Localized swelling could be a small salivary gland blocked.

An injury from a blow, bite or burn may damage the lip tissue and allow blood to accumulate under the fine skin on the lip, or any other part of the body. They are caused by the ruprure of a very small vein near the surface of the skin, while the skin over it remains intact. See your doc to make sure.
