See a neurologist: Some people may have a post-concussive/traumatic headache. If the headache is accompanied by other symptoms (tinnitus, difficulty concentrating, irritability) then you might have post-concussion syndrome. Posttraumatic HA: headache is considered a form of secondary headache that occurs after head injury. In addition to headache, other associated symptoms frequently develop after head injury (dizziness, nausea) and the post-traumatic headache is often part of a post-traumatic syndrome.

Unlikely: It would be unusual for a closed head injury symptoms to occur five months after the event. However the symptoms are critical and I would recommend being evaluated by healthcare profession

Yes: It is normal to have a headache after a head injury. But there are several things you need to keep track of. It is not normal for your child to have several episodes of vomiting or loss of consciousness after a head injury. Other worrisome signs after a head injury include seizures, irritability, changes in vision or changes in behavior.

Yes: Severe head injury is frequently associated with chronic headaches.  Is long as there is no structural  cause seen on head ct, there is little that can be done for these problems.

Maybe: It depends on what you mean by nausea and what you mean by head injury.  If you had a simple concussion and your nausea was due to false sense of motion (vertigo), then yes to your answer.  This is usually self limiting.  I've had patients with these closed head injuries and will have a general feeling of nausea.  This resolves over time.

Headaches: Headaches have a multitude of causes and certainly may be associated with head and neck muscle strains.  Taking nsaids as Ibuprofen may be helpful and decrease the severity of ha, if these continue evaluation by a medical providers is important.

Not necessarily: I would be concerned for any persistence of headaches more than 2 weeks from a head trauma. Time for a re-evaluation. It may have stirred up another form of chronic headache problem & reviewing the history /exam & possible trigger factors would be appropriate.
