i found a bump on my head behind my ear that wasn't there before. its hard, doesn't move and feels like touching a sore bruise. should i be concerned?

Lymph node: There are thousands of lymph node located around the body that help screen out germs in the body serum before it returns to the circulation. There are many in the neck, head,  behind the ear. At rest these are often 1/4 inch in diameter and may grow to marble sized when reacting to a stimulus. Bug bites, or viral infections can increase their size.They should shrink  down to nl size over a few wks.

tender spot on head no headache. hurts when i pull the hair on it. just noticed today. was not there yesterday. small spot when hurts when touching?

Wait: Could be a number of things. Acne lesion, bump, folliculitis. Wait a few days, keep area clean. If persists, see MD.

if i had an iv done a week ago and i still have bruising and a lump should i be concerned ? the lump was firm to touch but i kept touching it and now its semi softer . worried if i did harm . blue hue to skin for 2 days and went away?

: It happens sometimes after IV. you did not do any harm. The hard lump will gradually get smaller and then disappear. You will be just fine.

Ear infection: You could have a middle ear infection. You need to see a doctor to get your ear examined. You may need antibiotics if you have an infection.

Bruising: Did you have an injury to cause the bruising? If so there might have been some trauma or irritation to the superficial nerves and skin at the injured site. If no injury occurred, spontaneous rupture of a vein or capillary caused the bruising and irritability. If new bruising occurs, see your physician for evaluation.
