It is made by cells that form the placenta, which nourishes the egg after it has been fertilized and becomes attached to the uterine wall. Levels can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception.

OCP: Did you miss any pills? The vaginal bleeding you had was normal? If the bleeding was normal and you took your pills as prescribed the likelihood of pregnancy is very low. For reassurance,  taking a pregnancy would be ok to do,  but probably not necessary.

i weight 190 and i'm very active and i'm on a weight last pill call hcg and i'm on a 1500 cal diet why i'm i not losing weight?

One possibility: One possibility for a woman to have trouble losing weight while doing all the appropriate weight loss methods  is pcos (polycystic ovary syndrome).   There are other symptoms including difficulty getting pregnant.  Good idea to see an ob/gyn.

on yaz 2 years, take continuously with break every 3 months. having breakthrough bleeding/cramping the last 2 weeks on active pills. 2 negative hcg tests 10 days apart. unsure why this is happening? how to resolve?

: The most common reason for "breakthrough bleeding" while on oral bcp's is lack of strict punctuality with the low dose "active" pills. The active pill should be taken within the same hour as the previous day's active pill.  Suggest stopping the active pills, waiting seven days, and starting a new pack. See your GYN physician for guidance.  Pregnancy is unlikely.

See below: Hcg which is known as pregnancy hormone is only produced after implantation which occurs 5-7 days after fertilization. A urine pregnancy test is usually positive right around the day of a missed period

Neg HCG=not pregnant: Only way to be 100% sure that you are not pregnant is to avoid contact with semen in the vaginal area. Adding a condom to the iud would get you close to 100% protection. A negative HCG excludes a pregnancy until the next time you have sex.

i had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago and i have been sexually active. hcg test line is very faint but my ovulation test has been blazing positive for days. i was told by my ob that i needed a d&c is it possible i could conceive with tissue left behind?

Normal rise: The BHCG should rise by 66% every 48 hours. You describe a normally rising HCG. The gestational age can not be determine by this. Instead you should go by the date of your last menstrual cycle until a sonogram can be done to verify.

Does not seem high: Your blood betaHCG levels rise very rapidly during early .They  will usually double every 48 to 50 hours and their fluctuation may be affected by the sex of your fetus and by your ethnicity, your age, your body weight and other factors.

how high would hcg in the urine be at 8 weeks? would i still get a reliable result with diluted urine?

Likely: Your profile says you are a male!
It is better to use first morning urine for pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, at 8 weeks the HCG is usually high enough to give a positive result with random urine.
