Depends: It's your choice. It will not harm you to be physically active with a fever but you may expose your sports colleagues to a contagious illness. You also shouldn't play if you don't have the energy for the game.

Playing: Spending inordinate amounts of time online has both physiological and psychological effects.  Eye strain, poor physical routines, poor diet are all strongly associated.  As well as limitations on "real" relationships, loneliness, isolation, depression, and increased anxiety and stress levels.

i play computer games with colored tiles. i get after-images of those same colored tiles, that come and go, even 24 hrs later. is this normal?

Take a break: Staring at a computer screen for long periods of time causes eye fatigue. Without going into the physiology of the retina, you need to limit your time and take breaks. Your body is telling you something. Listen to it.

Less than 2 hours: We generally suggest no more than one hour of electronics per day, and not all all 30 minutes before bedtime.

: This sounds like a pretty normal teenager to me. He also deserves some privacy. You may want to consult your doc about such issues and get some training is developmental expectations in teens. Masturbation and sexual focus begin to accelerate in the teen years as they develop an idea of who they are and what they feel about the changes in their body.

No: You cannot hurt your eyes by using them.

May delay recovery: It maybe helpful to think of your brain in the same way you would your ankle.  You probably wouldn’t go for a run immediately after spraining your ankle.  Tissue needs relative rest in order to heal properly.  Similarly resting the brain promotes healing from a concussion.  Video gaming may delay healing.  Not being able to stop suggests video gaming suggests another, more serious problem.

Do you want to?: "Diverticulitis flare-up" could mean anything. As I don't know for sure what symptoms you ARE experiencing (other than NO fever), I'm unsure how to advise you. It may be best to TTYD or use HealthTap Prime &amp; talk to a doctor live about your concerns. If (minor) symptoms permit, playing hockey isn't contraindicated; however, any injury to abdomen may make things worse. Is that risk acceptable to u?

Possibly an excuse: You must look at the whole picture to determine if he is depressed.  Examples of questions to consider are: is he motivated to do things, is he doing well in school, does he enjoy doing his hobbies, is he sleeping well, is his appetite good, is he able to concentrate well.If you find that the answer is "no" to most of the questions this could be depression.

my 8 years old cousin had seizures and fever. he was playing video games for long time. can these cause seizures?

Possible: It is not too common but if someone has a seizure disorder it could provoke it depending on the graphics of the game. Fevers triggered by fevers are much more common BUT usually start around 6 months and end around 6. The fever is triggered by the sudden rise in temp associated with an infection. Having a first febrile seizure at 8 is unusual and a full workup is needed.
