About 3 weeks: Booster vaccine response of igg is slower than immune response to disease.
Igm may be positive at 8-14 days after vaccination but igg is often not positive after vaccination until post 3 weeks.

Well tolerated: MMR shot is well tolerated in adult hood.  Most common side effect is tenderness at injection site.

NO: Assuming you are questioning the normal immunization schedule for mmr, you only need 2 vacines for the mmr, 1 usually at a well check 15-18 months old and the booster at 4-6 year old well check.  Hope this helps.

No: Repeating the vaccine just reminds your system to be vigilant &amp; fight off those germs if exposed. It would not put you at any extra risk of any disease.

Local reaction: Local reactions at the injection site with redness and swelling are the most common side effects.  If it persists or worsens, despite local care (ice to area, tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin, etc) then seek medical attention for an evaluation.

Wouldn't count on it: Any such information wherever you found it is little more than speculation at this point. The viruses involved are quite different &amp; antibodies triggered by a vaccine are selective to the type of stimulus it responds to (here MMR). Much like puzzle pieces if it is not the same puzzle, a piece may come close but not actually fit.

MMR revaccination: We now give a second MMR at age five or six.  There have been failures in the measles and mumps components.  Therefore a second and final MMR is recommended at school age.

Vaccinations: Typically the shot itself doesn't hurt much.  Certain vaccinations may be more uncomfortable than others in the day or so following.  I know that from personal experience, tetanus shots make my shoulder sore for the next several days.  The benefit of vaccination definitely outweighs the risk of discomfort after the shot.
