19.7 wbc for 20mos old.  doc gave co-amox (vamox) 400mg 3ml 2x/day for 7 days. what is the cause? no cough and colds.

High WBC: high WBC count indication the presence of infection, whether viral or bacterial. Ask to check the urine to make sure there is no urinary tract infection. Also, ask for chest X-ray to make sure there is no walking pneumonia

Chronic inflammation: These data are insufficient to make a meaningful interpretation. Possibilities include a chronic infection/inflammation including tuberculosis or deep fungal infection as well as a hidden malignancy. To sort things out you need  a complete blood count and other tests/exams.
