Brain/illness/ER: I would suggest an ER visit for a T scan of your brain, immediate neurological consultation, psychological and psychaitiric counselings and understand that these symtoms cannot be diagnosed online. Time to turn off the computer and go to the ER.

Fluids or water?: Calories can be supplied through a liquid diet. Calorie intake via fluids does not equate to death. Think of the people who liquify meats, vegetables, fruits - etc  to drink them.

taking 1mg of xanax for quite a while now. i took my first dose 0.5mg 12 hours ago. i plan to drink tonight. is there any death risk?

Xanax: is a powerful benzodiazepine....which DOES NOT MIX with alcohol   in addition the breakdown time of this class of drugs varies with the individual and also with time thus making the use of alcohol very risky in patients who take them..  My opinion only..hope it's helpful!

had slightly elevated enzymes. stopped drinking, they went down. my dr told me to quit drinking completely. haven't drank in 6 months. simple answer: is it a death sentence to have a few on my vacation?

No it is not a death: Sentence but to start i would not drink more than one every few days. I would then follow up to see how your numbers are when you get back. Good luck.

: Maybe/not. The absence of any information about what was in the water makes any answer more speculation than fact. If you have survived 4 years without symptoms it is a good sign. A checkup with a liver profile would be a wise decision.

I : I want to be very specific in addressing your question, to insure you know that i can not tell you the cause of the man in question's death.  The best way to determine cause of death is by an autopsy. Here is some general information.  Usually a blood glucose level over 400 is considered a medical emergency.   Alcohol contains sugars.  Thus ingesting alcohol can increase blood sugar level.  When a person's blood sugar is rising over 400, their risk for developing a  diabetic coma or death increases.
