Skin infections: Pus filled bumps on the skin are usually the symptom of a skin infection.  When they become red, warm to touch and painful it is called cellulitis.  Treatment of this includes oral antibiotics and occassionally drainage.  See your doctor, because resistant infections are becoming more common and require special treatment.

i have a small lump/bump on the back of my neck near my hairline that i noticed 7/29/20its the size of a pea and is firm. it is very tender to the touch and is not raised or pus filled. it is mostly under the skin-concerned this might be cancerous?

Lump under tongue: This cannot be diagnosed without a visual/clinical examination.  Any swelling or unusual lesion that has been present for more than 10 days should be examined.
See a dentist or oral surgeon for a clinical examination.

Abscesses: These may be due to staphylococci.  The best approach would be to have a doctor examine these and perhaps culture them and prescribe an antibiotic if necessary.

Pus filled: Lump is called an abscess and needs to be drained by your doctor. Antibiotics without drainage will not help. The proper treatment of an abscess is drainage. See your doctor or a colon and rectal surgeon.
