i have a hard lump at the base of my spine that i noticed a few days ago and it seems to be getting bigger?

Get exam: A lump can be anything from a simple benign cyst to a malignancy. Most likely it is the former and can often be diagnosed and resolved at the initial visit. If , however, it is something unusual or pernicious, many tests from x-rays, labs, aspiration, biopsy or removal surgically may be necessary and important.

is it normal to have two hard lumps at the very base of your spine?

Varies: There are a number of possibilities, some quite normal but i would encourage you to be checked if you have any concern.  One example of a relatively normal condition like what you are describing involves the si joints.  These joints are near the bottom of you spine on each side.  They normally do have a small bursa over each of them and I have had patients come to be checked, but they are normal.

Worried!: If this is new then it needs to be checked out by your doctor. Possible causes are many and some can be serious.

Biopsy: is the absolute answer. All the imaging that we do can only give your doctor an idea of what it is. Both CT and MRI are excellent for that. But they do not substitute for tissue diagnosis except in rare occasions. Lipoma made up of fatty tissue or cysts can be diagnosed amongst others. When in doubt biopsy is usually needed.

Lipoma: A lipoma is a growth of fat cells in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin. Lipomas are found most often on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but they can occur almost anywhere in the body. One or more lipomas may be present at the same time.

i have a soft/hard lump on my lower back next to my spine its not moveable and its painilessi have n o pain ?

Some possibilities: Such as a benign fatty lipoma or a sebaceous skin cyst. Cannot tell without a physical exam. See a doctor.

Lump: Have it seen by a doc. Thats number one. It is probably an inclusion cyst from the skin, possibly a fatty tumor underneath the skin, called lipoma, but they typically are not firm. Again, have it seen!

i have a large hard lump by my lower spine, left side, doesn't move and won't go away, and is very painful and hurts to touch. what is this?

Be seen: I would definitely be seen just to make sure it is not cancerous.  That being said, the most common thing we will see is an inflamed bursa over the sacroiliac joint, known as a bursitis.  When the bursa becomes inflamed it can become tender and swollen.

i have lump on the back of my neck near the spine it is somewhat mobile and not very hard , also it is about a centimeter  long. it  doesn't hurt.

Lymph node: There are lymph nodes in the neck . They are part of the lymphatic system of the head, neck and scalp. They can become enlarges with viral illnesses or something as common as dermatitis of the scalp. Another benign possibility include sebacous cyst . See a doctor for further evaluation.

Lipoma: A lipoma is a slow-growing, fatty lump that's most often situated between your skin and the underlying muscle layer. Often a lipoma is easy to identify because it moves readily with slight finger pressure. It's doughy to touch and usually not tender. A lipoma isn't cancer and is usually harmless. If it does bother you the only to take out surgically.
