See doctor: This may be from a spider bite which often gets infected. Need to contact doctor to find out if you may have a different condition or need treatment with an antibiotic.  On rare occasions, the lesion needs be drained and the diseased tissue surgically removed.  Don't wait.

How long?: How long have you had them?  Do they itch or burn?  Any new medication introduced within a a few weeks prior to the rash?    If this has been occurring for more than 8 weeks or is getting worse, see your family doctor or dermatologist.

If these bumps don't hurt or itch, just watch it for a few days. If these lesions persist for more than a couple of weeks or get worse, see your doctor

They are probably...: Just bug bites.  We have all had them just pop up without knowing what bit us at one time or another.  If they persist or get infected, see a dermatologist.

Infection?: No need to worry, but a physician should be able to determine if these painful bumps or nodules are from an infection.  If so, they would improve with antibiotics.  Other causes could be insect bites.  Either way, an evaluation will point you in the right direction for treatment and put your mind at ease.
