i have a small hard bump on my chin. it hurts a little and is slightly red. i don't think it's a mosquito bite because it doesn't itch and i don't think it's acne either. what is it and how can i get rid of it?

Likely acne nodule: Given your age and location of the chin, it is most likely a nodular acne lesion. You can see a local dermatologist for a treatment to get rid of it, if it is still there in a week.

i tripped on uneven concrete, fell on my face. my chin hit the concrete pretty hard. a bump on my chin now, but no other symptoms so far. what to do?

Face trauma: How long ago? Did you have blood in your mouth? Is there a large cut on chin? Usually we would be concerned with lower jaw bone fracture, loose teeth or TMJ ingury. make sure there are no loose teeth. Keep mouth clean with gentle rinses, avoid chewing or solid food for a couple of days. Make sure the wound on chin is clean and apply abx ointment, Ibuprofen for pain, may need CT if jaw hurts later.

More info : Hard to evaluate over the internet   How long has it  been there, has it changed? Painful? Have you had it off and on for years or is it brand new. Any other symptoms ? Fevers etc?  May be an infected cyst or ingrown hair? Many possibilities

Need an exam: An md will be able to help you. It could be a sebaceous cyst, an enlarged lymph node or even a small submandibular gland (salivary) stone or sialolith. An exam is always the best way to understanding. Good luck.

i have a huge bump on my chin. i felt and it is hard underneath the skin. it seems like a white head. what can i use to pop it or make it go down?

Don't pop it: If it's an epidermoid inclusion / sebaceous cyst you'll have a mess there for years. Best visit a good surgeon now. If it's not, needling it won't do anything. Good luck.

See PCP.: It could be an infected sebaceous gland. Have your pcp take a look and if needed get a biopsy. It doesn't sound like anything serious, but it would make you feel better to have it checked.

Get it seen: I'm betting on a lipoma or an epidermoid includion ("sebaceous") cyst. You'll probably want to go in together and get it seen; if the clinical diagnosis is benign, and you are asked to decide whether to have it excised, it's a decision to make as a couple.
