why do infants fold their hands?

Comfort: Infants will assume positions that are comfortable.  Especially around 4 months of age infants will keep their hands in the midline of their bodies.  It is something we watch for to know they are normal.

why would your hands bleed in folds?

Dry skin that cracks: Often does so in the folds on   back of knuckles. As the dry skin gets tight and the skin over  the knuckles especially that of the pip joints of  fingers must stretch a lot during motion.  Other areas with  so called folds are also areas that if tight, ned to stretch alot to move and tightness  cracknig and perhaps bleeding. (if you have a lesion that keeps cracking , bleeding get it seen.

i was a goalkeeper and stopped a read fast ball with my hand. my hand fold all the way back and since then my hand hurts when i fold it to the back. every other movement is ok. what can it be?

Sprain/strain: How long ago was injury? It sounds like you strained/strained your wrist (well, more correctly, a ligament/tendon/muscle). Cold packs are useful immediately after an injury. Since all other movements are ok, I'm less suspicious for fractures &amp; dislocations. But if pain persists or gets worse or prevents you from doing your normal daily activities, I'd recommend seeing your Family Doc or Sports Med

i had a axilary armpit lipoma surgery last month.now i am facing problem on stretching my hand. folding of biceps not prob. but stretching shows pain?

Ear trauma: If your hearing is OK there will be no resultant problem aside from your pride being challenged.  KIf you do have a problem best to see an eent doctor to determine the deficit and the significance of it.

recently going thru wrist and hand pain   not sure if it is using computer mouse a lot or hand arthiritis? what is the best treatment? it hurts in wrist joint while folding hand or lifting

: If there is no sign of inflammation (warm, red and swelling), inflammatory joint disease is less likely. You should stop or reduce the activity which exacerbates the pain or discomfort, take Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) 200 mg x 2 (OTC med) every 6-8 hours as needed for 1-3 days then resuming the activity at a slow pace.
You should see a doctor if there is sign of inflammation for a correct diagnosis

Sure: Pain, swelling, throbbing are common complaints. This is usually treated easily with an oral antibiotic and sometimes a partial nail avulsion is necessary. Or sometimes, a partial nai avulsion without the antibiotic...Depending on the condition and who is treating.
