Depends on SE: Several medications are used with Haldol (haloperidol) to reduce side effects.  Most commonly, the biggest problem is what are call eprs (extrapyramical resactions).  Anticholinergics are highly beneficial, and a commonly used one is benztropine (cogentin).  Agitation also sometimes occurs as a side-effect, and a benzodizaapine such as Lorazepam (ativan) can help with that.

Haldol (haloperidol) decanoate: Haldol (haloperidol) decanoate is much longer acting than oral or IV forms of haldol (haloperidol).  It is usually given about every 3-4 weeks, and is active for that time period.  Long-term movement disorders (tardive dyskinesia) can result with haldol (haloperidol), and can be irreversible.  Risk of this must be weighed against risk of psychotic symptoms without the medication.

Withdrawal effects?: There aren't withdrawal effects of Haldol (haloperidol) in the usual sense.  Sudden discontinuation after long use may cause temporary dyskinesia, unlikely after only 1.5 months.  It's a good idea to take Akineton (biperiden) for a few days after stopping haldol, to be sure it's all out of your system.  You should discuss all this with your prescribing doctor, of course.

Depends on Why: I don't know why you were on haldol (haloperidol). But many of the reasons that people take Haldol (haloperidol) are because it prevents things (psychotic episodes or manic episodes) that happen occasionally, but when they do happen very bad things can happen. So the fact that you feel nothing when you stop the Haldol (haloperidol) might not mean that everything is fine, it depends on why you are taking it. Talk to your doctor.

Yes: The short answer is yes. I might add, that taking alot of anticholinergic medication, i.e. Cogentin/benztropine or artane/trihexylphenadil-can decrease one's ability to perspire, or sweat. As sweating is the body's natural mechanism to cool off, a concern might be that a person could become overheated. Be sure and drink lots of water and be careful not to become overheated. no good: No good levels are warranted if missed monthly doses of Haldol (haloperidol) dec. The steady levels advantage might be gone shortly after 4 weeks leading to decompensation of psychosis. It is important to be compliant with dr instructions.

Haldol (haloperidol) is an: antipsychotic, than if injected, can have big side effects.   One of them is to alter posture by causing muscles to lose flexibility and to contract too much.   Your posture can suffer and you might feel the sensation of listing to one side or another or just being less flexible.   All of these muscle side effects can cause you to have muscles aches anywhere in the body.
